In this week’s Drone Series, we see that Israel is in a difficult place in their relationship with the Lord. The kingdom has passed from Solomon to his descendants. The Lord sent Elisha, the apprentice of Elijah, to guide the kingdom back to Him, but the warnings went unheeded. In this story, Naaman seeks healing from the man of God but initially refuses to follow his instructions. However, he is encouraged not to walk away from his miracle simply because he is reluctant to dip into the waters as directed. Ultimately, he obeys the prophet, and his miracle occurs, giving birth to his faith in God. On the other hand, Gehazi compromises his faith by being drawn to the material world. This decision costs him both his health and his position with the prophet Elisha.
